A new SEO contest in town :)
French people will again compete in a new contest named COBRAOUPOUAOUT. As usual no rules, but no spams in Blog comments to avoid blog masters to hate us all :)

Some of the famous Dark seo team members and Taggle team members already compete in this contest and we will soon see thousands of pages recently crawled by the bots.

This contest consists in ranking in four SE : Y!, MSN, DeepIndex and GG (if he can crawl something and update it before the end of the contest, due to recent concerns with bigdaddy update...)

A few easy steps to comprehensive site structure

There are always a few things we should take care of when building a new website. Things that amateurs and even webmasters would forget sometimes because it's so natural that we miss it.
As when you build a site you may not be able to do it all at once it may happen that you forget to link the new section of pages that you are newly building from your main page. You may do your best to try to optimize your site and when building a nice and superb top navigation with great javascript navigation between each sections, forget that all pages from this nav won't be crawled at all...
This is a small reminder of what you should do to avoid forgetting such natural things :

- Create a site map : this site map should be using text link preferably with a small description and if your site is a large sized one use a link in your footer that refers to this sitemap so that each single page of your site links to this sitemap, it helps a lot for SEO as for visitors to find the information needed
- Use a very simple navigation and really visible : simple navigations are always really effective and helps people find what they are there for quickly.
- Hunt missing pages and broken links : you'll avoid bothering your visitors and they'll really think your site is unprofessionnal if it happens.
- Be regular in your site design and always follow a pre-defined guideline.
- Include a search option if you can it will help a lot, the more information you display the more you'll need this option to be set on your web site.
- Be sure people can contact you and that all contact forms are working properly.

Do all this and watch the magic happen ;)

News, Fresh news. There's something new you have to retain those days concerning the webmastering and graphism world. It's now sure the two giant of the graphism industry and web creation and conception tools are now one and only company. The reactions are very strong from the whole professionnal world. Will this be kind of a trust or will this bring us some very nice new functionnality and programming outcome soon ?
One thing is sure, many of them are yet thinking of the price of this programs the Giant Adobe yet known as "not the cheapest one" ^^.

Since the very beginning of march a new SEO contest has been launched...
The purpose : be first in MSN search FR on the term : sorcier glouton :)
It seems that the algorythms of that search robot are very particular.

The robot has visited some sites and crawled a lot of pages and it appears that those site don't even appear in the search results ...
By the side, I just received an e-mail dealing with results of traffic income for top ranked sites in Yahoo or MSN search. The SEO of those sites notified he had no income from those search engine even being in very good position on terms required very often.
The fact that sponsored links on MSN search are viewable all around the result pages may affect the choice of the hit.
If this is really the case, is there really a point to be first and to spend some time in trying to rank sites in those engines ?
Well please let me know of your suggestions about this matter, thx :)
